Secret tunnel at Dracula’s Castle

Have you heard of Dracula? He was the most famous vampire that has inspired countless horror movies, television shows and other bloodcurdling tales of vampires. Vlad Tepes, aka Dracula lived in the Brand Castle, which is also the most well known Romanian castle, also famously known as Dracula’s castle in Transylvania.

Back in the Summer of 2018, a new tourist attraction opened named Time Tunnel or “secret tunnel” which was used by Queen Mary when she wanted to get to the Royal Garden faster. The tunnel, which was built in 1930, was opened to visitors on July 1st 2018, following an investment of 1.13 million dollars (1 Million Euros).

The tunnel has a length of about 131 feet (40 meters) and has never been open to tourists before. In face most people never knew about it. Tourists will first get into an elevator that will descend over 100 feet (30 meters) through the old well, and then will have to walk another 131 feet (40 meters) through the secret underground tunnel to the Royal Park. The visit will not be included in the price of the entrance ticket to the castle.
