Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff wants Elon Musk and the Boring Company to dig tunnels in San Francisco

In a reply to the Boring Company’s CEO Elon Musk’s tweet showcasing the nearly completed LA tunneling project, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff adds to what seems an endless list of future projects for The Boring Company, asking for help fixing the transportation woes of the city of San Francisco.

Citing the fact that the Bullet Train being built to connect San Francisco and Los Angeles approved in 2008 by California voters is much too far away, Benioff decided to reach out to Musk himself to help connect San Francisco to other parts of the Bay Area including Marin County, East Bay, and as far South as San Jose.

Not surprisingly, Musk replied much as he always does with a nonchalant yes, saying “Sure, we can do it”. At this point, it may be worth asking what can’t the team at the Boring Company do?

It’s important to keep in mind that official plans for a Bay Area project have yet to be released by the Boring Company, but based on a statement from a company spokesperson, it seems like they’re up to the challenge.

And with two billionaire tech giants like Benioff and Musk coming together, we would be willing to bet that they will find a way to make this project move forward.

Great news for our Bay Area friends if true, but we hope for our sake that the LA projects are completed long before the Boring Company takes on another project of this scale. (Sorry San Francisco, LA is #1) 🙂Â
